Our Called and Sent Capital Appeal Celebration Month of May was another reminder of how your gifts continue to make a difference in God’s world.
The Called and Sent pledges that we have received tell the stories of lives being changed every day through the welcoming invitation of our church for people to discover the love of God in Jesus Christ.
Reflecting on this appeal, we are thankful for all of the people who have done so much to support it.
We are thankful to our general chairs — Jim and Evonne Pedersen, John and Jane Schultz, and Brad and Suzanne Smith — for their faithful leadership.
We are thankful to the 210 members of our Leadership Team and Delivery Team who made advance visits and delivered pledge materials to our members.
We are thankful to all of our members and friends who, as of today, have committed $1.6 million in gifts and three-year pledges to our Called and Sent Appeal, which will enable us to support mission in the global community, provide funds for needed updates and repairs to our facilities, and responsibly manage our mortgage for the next three years.
Based on this initial response, we are confident we will meet or exceed our goal of $1.75 million in three-year pledges. As a member of the St. Philip the Deacon family, we invite you to join those who have already made a financial commitment and help us attain our goal to support the mission and ministry of this congregation.
Please contact Cheryl Sjaarda, our finance administrator, at csjaarda@spdlc.org or 763-475-7124 to make your pledge. Or, you can pick up a pledge card and return envelope at the Hospitality Desk at church.
You are blessed to be a blessing. Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel here at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church.
Sincerely in Christ,

David Hoffman, Senior Pastor Tim Westermeyer, Executive Pastor
