Getting Healthy is a choice. When you include God in the plan to make healthier choices you can move toward living the kind of lifestyle God intends you to live. Being healthy can impact every area of your life, including your walk with God.
The Daniel Plan is designed to keep you engaged in the process so you can see long term results. Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m., we will kick off the Daniel Plan with Healthy Lifestyle speaker, Chris Freytag (Get healthyu.com, KARE 11 health consultant). Over six Tuesdays you will gather with friends in small groups to study the Five Essentials of the Daniel Plan: Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus and Friends. We’ll conclude with a session on Living the Healthy Lifestyle, Practical Help on Sustaining the Healthy Changes You’ve Made. Change is a process we will share with the support of God and our friends.
In the weekly gatherings, you will view a DVD and discuss in small groups what you have read and seen. You will pray and grow together. You are provided with daily devotions, prayers, a weekly bible verse, recipes, and fitness moves. You will have support from those we gather with weekly.
The cost is $12 for the book and workbook. Computer access for a devotional app and communication for the class is recommended, but not essential.

Our kick-off speaker will be Chris Freytag, who will offer a presentation titled, "Health is the Key to Living Well" on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. A national fitness expert, Chris Freytag, has been teaching, training, writing books and speaking on the subject of health and fitness for the last 25 years. Chris is the founder of GetHealthyU.com a fast-growing digital publishing company that reaches over 2 million a month through the website, newsletters and social media. She also launched GetHealthyUTV.com, a membership based website that offers full length workouts to stream on any device, anytime, anywhere. Chris is a certified personal trainer, certified health coach and teaches classes at Life Time Fitness. Chris also does the Motivation Monday segments for KARE 11 NBC.
The Daniel Plan Participant Exclusive: Bio-Impedance Analysis
When losing weight, do you really know what you are losing? Are you losing fat tissue? Are you losing muscle tissue? Or, maybe it’s just body water? There is a valuable, yet inexpensive, solution to these questions as you begin your journey. As a participant of The Daniel Plan, you can choose to add a Bio-Impedance Analysis (BIA) test to your journey. The information you will gain includes your approximate lean mass, Fat mass, Intra-cellular water, Extra-cellular water, as well as a Body-Mass Index. A health-care provider, attendee of SPD, is providing the BIA tests and report at-cost, as well as donated time, to those that are interested. You investment is $5 per test (normally a $20 per test).
Please note: BIA is a tool to help measure body composition and can follow changes over time. It uses a microcurrent frequency to measure a patient’s body resistance and reactance. Taking this information and blending it with other patient data, a composition report is created. Although there are no contraindications, the test is not recommended for people with implanted devices.
