Douthat, an Op-Ed columnist for The New York Times, will speak on "Faith & Culture: The Fate of America in an Age of Heresy" at 7:00 p.m. at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

About Ross Douthat
Ross Douthat joined The New York Times as an Op-Ed columnist in April 2009, replacing Bill Kristol on the Times editorial page and becoming the youngest regular Op-Ed writer in the paper's history. Previously, Douthat was a senior editor at the Atlantic and a blogger for theatlantic.com. His most recent book is Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics. He is also the author of Privilege: Harvard and the Education of the Ruling Class and the co-author, with Reihan Salam, of Grand New Party: How Republicans Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream. Douthat is a film critic for National Review and has also contributed to The Wall Street Journal, The Weekly Standard, the Claremont Review of Books, GQ, Slate, and other publications. In addition, he frequently appears on the video debate site Bloggingheads.tv. A native of New Haven, Conn., he now lives in Washington, D.C.
