Faith & Life Continues with William Willimon February 4

William Willimon, prolific author and well-known preacher, will speak on “Faith & Salvation: The Peculiarity of Being Saved by Jesus” on Friday, February 4, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Road Six, Plymouth, MN 55447. Free and open to the public.

The Reverend Dr. William H. Willimon has been a bishop of The United Methodist Church since 2004. For twenty years he was dean of the chapel and professor of Christian ministry at Duke University, Durham, N.C. He is the author of sixty books, including Who Will Be Saved? and Why Jesus? Over a million copies of his books have been sold. In 1996, an international survey conducted by Baylor University named him one of the Twelve Most Effective Preachers in the English-speaking world.
