Volunteer In Local Community: 
 ChristianVolunteering.org – Twin Cities: is a program of TechMission that matches volunteers to volunteer opportunities and helps organizations recruit volunteers through online volunteer matching. In many ways ChristianVolunteering.org is like job matching websites like Monster.com except that they match volunteers to organizations with volunteer opportunities.   Individuals can find opportunities as a local volunteer, virtual volunteer (volunteering from home), short term missionary, or intern at organizations across the US and internationally. http://twincities.christianvolunteering.org/
The Experience Corps program in Minneapolis/St. Paul is hosted by Volunteers of America of Minnesota. Older adults provide literacy tutoring in kindergarten through third grade classrooms. Tutors are community members who work with students one-on-one or in small groups under supervision of the classroom teacher. The Executive Service Corps Affiliate Network (ESCAN) is a nationwide network of nonprofit consulting organizations. The ESC affiliates offer high impact volunteer opportunities to executives and professionals who have had senior level experience in business, government, or nonprofits.
