By water and the Holy Spirit we are made members of the Church which is the body of Christ. Baptism workshops for parents, expectant parents, sponsors and grandparents of infants and young children are held periodically. The next Baptism Workshop will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 10:00 a.m. - noon.

Parents who have already had a child baptized at St. Philip the Deacon and wish to have another child baptized can attend a Baptism Review Workshop, usually held on the last Sunday of the month. Please call Liz Nelson/763-475-7129 or the church office/763-475-7100 to register.



HOLY COMMUNION

If you receive Holy Communion in your home congregation you are welcome to receive Holy Communion at St. Philip the Deacon. Holy Communion is celebrated each Saturday, the first Sunday of the month, Festival of the Lord Sundays as well as Mondays following Communion Sundays.

First Communion is a family-centered workshop to prepare children in grades 2 through 5 for the reception of their first communion. The workshops are offered three times per year. Children and their parents make the decision when to enroll. Children are ready for instruction when they start asking questions about their faith and Holy Communion.

The next First Communion Workshop is Saturday, May 3 , 2008, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. with the reception of First Communion on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the 5:30 p.m. worship service.
