Some of the learning opportunities for adults during the fall of 2011 include:
SUNDAY MORNING BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP | MERE CHRISTIANITY
The Sunday Morning Book Discussion Group resumes on Sunday, September 11 at 8:30 am meeting in the Library. Joel Malmberg will facilitate a study of C. S. Lewis’s book MERE CHRISTIANITY. Books are available for purchase ($10) from Joel. New members are welcome.
FAITH TALK
Faith Talk resumes Wednesday, September 29 meeting weekly in the Library at 9:30 am. This fall we will explore Paul’s letter to the Romans, Chapters 1-3. Paul begins his letter not with what He has done, but what God has done for him! His words in this important letter are central and key when it comes to making sense of our own identities and what it means to be a Christian. Come see and explore with us! All are welcome, just as you are. For more information contact: Jay Dupay/jjdupay@comcast.net
LUTHERANISM 101
Join teacher Jay Dupay for this six week series on what it means to be a Lutheran. Class meets on Mondays at 7 pm beginning September 19 and continuing through October 24. Together, we will consider questions like these:
- WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE LUTHERAN?
- WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
- HOW DO I MAKE A CONNECTION BETWEEN MY FAITH AND MY EVERYDAY LIFE ?
- DO I REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT GRACE, FAITH, SCRIPTURE AND CHRIST ALONE, MEANS FOR ME?
All are welcome! We will have fun learning!
